The Joleen Meadows Food Club was formed in June 2026 upon the closure of Joleen Meadows Farm Shop. The aim was to give access to its members to quality food at wholesale prices and thereby dramatically reduce family food bills, provide access to a much wider range of goods and also help share the surplus with people in our community deserving of our help. Each member is required to enter into a membership agreement which binds every member to each other to ensure that the Club can run without funds of its own. The agreement makes the Club an authorised agent for each member in buying goods on their behalf and ensures that each member pays for their orders in full every fortnight as the Club cannot hold any funds on its own account..
The agreement also establishes the Club Constitution which sets out how the Club is governed and authorises a committee to establish rules for the smooth running of the Club.
