Joleen Meadows is a five acre smallholding just outside Lixwm in North Wales. It is home to many happy chickens and tens of thousands of busy honey bees. It is also home to Blodau Clwyd who grow organic cut flowers for special occasions and to Scott and Becky’s fruit and vegetable growing venture. The bees are looked after by A R Honey (Adrian and Rachel). Everything has to be organic. If you would like to get involved either volunteering or even starting your own organic venture on a patch of our land please get in touch.

Hello,
We have just discovered you and were wondering if it would be ok to visit your shop on Saturday on our way back from Llandudno? Are you open till 4:30?
I am also fascinated by everything you are doing! Especially the food forest! Would love to talk about it if at all possible! Also do you have a café too or just the shop? Do you have organic fruit and veg?
Many thanks!
Sophie
Hi Sophie
We open on Saturdays from 10 til 4pm. However, we live in the bungalow next door and the bell on the shop will bring one of us over to serve you whenever you turn up. No cafe but we can always have our arm twisted to serve tea in the house. We love to drink tea and chat about all of our mad projects!

Hello,
We are in the process of relocating to North Wales and are delighted that there is an organic food shop in the vicinity of where we hope to live.
Do you know of anyone who might have a three-bedroomed caravan to rent on a long-term basis?
Hi Vivien
I’m afraid I don’t know of anyone wanting to let a caravan though North Wales is a land full of caravans. The sites however tend to stipulate that you can only live there for 10 months of the year so unless you can provide a permanent postal address elsewhere it is difficult to set up home in a caravan on a permanent basis.
We’d be delighted to welcome you to our little organic shop when you finally land. Our friend Chris also sells organic veg in Denbigh and does a box scheme as well – look up The Vale Grocer
https://www.facebook.com/thevalegrocer
Another friend Phil runs a Sunday market in Saughall (just over the border) in which he also sells organic fruit and veg…

…so there are a quite afew options outside the hit and miss availability in the corporate supermarkets. If you want to grow your own and share the harvest with lovely like-minded people we also have a growing club called Flintshare which I highly recommend you look into

Hello,
Thanks for your response.
Looking forward to visiting your shop soon.
Best wishes.
Vivien
Hi,
Hope you’re well.
I’m Jordan, the founder of Don Levi Tequila – the 1st & only Welsh owned 100% agave premium tequila brand that’s been trading April 2025.
I just wanted to reach out to see if you would be interested in potentially stocking us at Joleen Meadows Farm Shop as a premium sipping tequila option (same segment of tequila as Patron/Don Julio).
Our RRP is £55 and have 2 trade price options;
For orders of 1-5 bottles £34.38/bottle plus VAT (£41.25/bottle inc VAT)
For orders of 6+ bottles £32.92/bottle plus VAT (£39.50/bottle inc VAT)
As we are very new, we are currently doing orders and delivery directly, but have started looking at getting stocked at some wholesalers.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Many Thanks,
Jordan Ridgeway,
Founder & CEO,
Don Levi Tequila
Hi Jordan
I’m afraid we don’t have a licence to sell alcohol nor the room in our small shop to stock any. All alcohol in our village is supplied by Tony at the Crown Pub, Lixwm so I’d suggest you try him.
